Kamaasa Shoten, a cooking utensil store in Kappabashi, Tokyo, founded in 1908 (Taito-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Daisuke Kumazawa), will be holding a pop-up store entitled "Living Together: A Week to Choose a Lifetime of Quality Cooking Tools" at the Stage #5 in Center Park on the 5th floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku from Wednesday, April 3rd to Tuesday, April 9th, 2024. This will be the first pop-up event in the Shinjuku area.
Based on the concept of "A week to choose a 'quality tool' that will last a lifetime," the event will feature original products from Kamaasa Shoten, such as knives and iron frying pans, carefully crafted by skilled artisans from all over Japan, which will grow into tools that will last a lifetime with continued use and care.
The staff at Kamaasa Shoten will be happy to give you advice on how to choose tools and tips for daily maintenance.
During the event, there will also be events on the same floor where you can experience cooking utensils, such as a "live cooking with meal", "an authentic magewappa lunch box making workshop", and "a demonstration of making the original product 'Kamaasa Chinese Steamer'".
Why not come and experience the atmosphere of Kappabashi in Shinjuku and find a tool that will last you a lifetime?
