Precautions

  • Please read the following precautions

When used as fuel

  • There is a risk of poisoning, so do not use in a closed space. Always ensure adequate ventilation during use. Binchotan charcoal may experience popping (the charcoal may crack) when ignited. Please be cautious. This product is made from 100% natural wood charcoal and is difficult to ignite with just matches or lighters. Please prepare additional tools for igniting the fire. The temperature may rise close to 1000°C during combustion, so please wear heat-resistant and flame-retardant mitts or gloves during use to avoid burns. It is recommended to use a fire extinguisher when extinguishing. If extinguishing with water, ensure thorough soaking. The ignited Binchotan charcoal burns internally, so insufficient soaking time may lead to re-ignition. It is dangerous to bury ignited charcoal in soil or sand. Store any leftover charcoal in this bag in a dry place. If placing extinguished charcoal inside, ensure it is completely extinguished.

When used for purposes other than fuel (water purification, deodorization, cooking, etc.)

  • Before use, wash with a brush and remove surface dirt, then boil. Do not use detergent. Boiling once a week is recommended for repeated use. Depending on usage conditions, please replace approximately every 3 months. After that, it can be used as fuel.

Other precautions

  • Charcoal is classified as a hazardous material under 'Special Regulations A3 of the Aviation Dangerous Goods Regulations.' Therefore, please note that it is prohibited to bring it onto an airplane. Due to its natural material, there may be variations in size, but there are no issues with quality.
